About LifeCard
What is LifeCard?
LifeCard makes real cards and invitations from your photos, then prints them and mails them for you. Each card is a 6×9 postcard with a code on the back that opens a private page with your video and, for events, the details and a way to reply.
It also remembers the birthdays and dates you add and reminds you in time to send something.
What exactly gets printed and mailed?
A 6×9 inch postcard: your photo and design on the front; your message, the recipient’s address and the code on the back. We print it, add First-Class postage and mail it. Printing and postage are included in the price.
Group invitations
How do group invitations work?
Tap Plan an event (for example a Birthday Party), design the invitation once, then add your guests. We print one card for each guest, with their name on it, and mail them all.
Guests reply from the code on their card. You see every reply in the app.
How do I add my guest list?
Any mix of: paste a list from Notes, Google Sheets or Excel; choose a CSV file; import from your iPhone Contacts; or add people one at a time.
We check every row and show which are ready, which need a fix, and which are duplicates before anything is added. Contacts without a mailing address are left out and counted, so you know who is missing.
I don’t have everyone’s address. What now?
Tap Collect addresses with a link. You get a private link to send from your own Messages, email or group chat. LifeCard never texts or emails your guests.
Guests open it, type their mailing address (no account needed), and they appear on your list automatically. Only you see what they send.
Printing and delivery
How long does delivery take?
We print and hand your card to USPS one business day after you order (orders after 2 pm Eastern count as the next business day). If you pick a later mail date, it goes out that day.
First-Class mail then usually takes 3–5 business days in SC, NC, GA, TN and VA, 4–6 to the rest of the lower 48, and 6–9 to Alaska, Hawaii and Puerto Rico. From December 1 to 24, allow up to 3 more business days.
You can follow each card on its timeline in the Cards tab.
When should I order for an event?
The app shows a “Send by” date for your birthdays and events that allows for printing and the slowest mail to that address. Send by then and it should arrive before the day.
Invitations are planned to land about 10 days before the event (mailed about three weeks ahead), with replies due 7 days before. Save the dates are planned to land about six months ahead.
What if an address is wrong or the card comes back?
We mail to U.S. addresses only. Every address is checked before printing; if one can’t be confirmed, we don’t print that card and it shows as needing attention so you can fix it.
Before you pay you can edit any address. Once a card is in the mail it can’t be recalled. If a card is returned, arrives damaged, or never arrives, email us and we’ll make it right — damaged, defective and undelivered cards are reprinted and re-mailed at no charge.
The code on the card, video and replies
What does the code on the card open?
A private page for that one card: the photo, your message, your video if you added one, and for events the date, time, place and RSVP. They scan it with their phone’s camera. No app or account needed.
Who can see the page and the video?
Anyone who has the link printed on the card. The page isn’t listed or searchable anywhere, and search engines are told not to index it.
You can remove a video any time from the card in the app (or its order on the web). The page stops showing it straight away and keeps everything else, like the event details and RSVP. A card’s video is deleted 12 months after the card is delivered, and all your videos are deleted when you delete your account.
How do RSVPs work, and who sees the replies?
Guests answer on the page their card’s code opens: yes, no or maybe, how many are coming, and anything else you asked for (like meal choices). They can change their answer later.
Only you, the host, see the replies, in Replies in the app. Guests never see each other’s answers. With notifications on, we let you know when replies come in. Closer to the day you can mail a reminder card to guests who haven’t answered.
Pricing, refunds and changes
How much does it cost?
One card is $4.99. The Family Pack is 20 LifeCards for $50, and the Holiday Pack is 50 LifeCards for $100. One LifeCard = one card designed, printed, stamped and mailed.
Packs are one-time purchases, not subscriptions. Your LifeCards never expire.
Can I change or cancel a card after I order?
Once you’ve paid, the card itself can’t be edited. Until it goes to the printer (the business day before its mail date) you can delete it from the Cards tab and make a new one.
If you delete a card you already paid for before it goes to the printer, its LifeCard goes straight back to your balance to use on another card. After a card is with the printer it can’t be stopped.
Can I get a refund?
Unused cards bought in bulk can be refunded within 14 days of purchase. Email us from the address on your account. Refunds go back to your original payment method; how long they take depends on your bank.
Privacy, your account and help
What do you do with my photos, contacts and addresses?
We use them only to make and mail your cards. Addresses are never shared or sold. LifeCard asks for Photos, Camera, Contacts or notifications only when you use a feature that needs it, and you can change that any time in iPhone Settings.
To get a copy of your data: Profile → Privacy → Download my data.
How do I delete my account?
In the iPhone app: Profile → Privacy → Delete my account. On the web: Account → Delete account.
Your people, dates, cards, photos, videos, guest lists and any remaining LifeCards are deleted, and the pages your cards’ codes open stop working. Cards already with the printer will still be mailed.
Can’t sign in? Email support@lifecard.app from the address on your account and we’ll delete it for you.
How do I reach a person?
Email support@lifecard.app. A real person answers, usually within one business day. Include the name on your account, and the recipient’s name if it’s about a specific card.
Is there an iPhone app?
It’s coming to the App Store. Until then, everything works in the web app, and your account will carry over.
Yes. Get the iPhone app and sign in with the same account you use in the web app — your people and cards are already there.
